It was so great seeing Jon this morning totally unhooked from everything and talking! He had a session with the physical therapist and walked a little (slightly unbalanced). He also met with the speech therapist who started working on cognition. They both said he is a great candidate for the Kaiser rehab center in Vallejo. They plan to move him out of the ICU into a wing with other neuro patients (people recuperating from stoke, TBI, etc.) in a couple of days. Once he is medically stable, he'll move to Vallejo.
